16th Annual Donnie Young Memorial Softball Tournament

Members of law enforcement, first responders, and their families gathered at Denver’s Vanderbilt Park for the 16th annual Donnie Young Memorial Softball Tournament, held in honor of fallen Denver Police Detective Donald Young. Detective Young was tragically killed on May 8, 2005.

This year’s tournament brought together nine teams made up of law enforcement and first responder affiliates.

Detective Young’s daughters, Kelsie and Kourtney, shared that the event remains their “favorite day of the year,” as it continues to celebrate their father’s service, camaraderie within the law enforcement community, and the ongoing support shown by those who attend.
