About Us:
As a volunteer-driven organization, communication is a critical tool for sharing our mission, celebrating history, and connecting with the community. The Denver Police Museum (DPM) is dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the Denver Police Department while fostering community engagement through educational programs, exhibits, and events.

Role Overview:
The Social Media Specialist role is to help maintain and enhance our Social Media presence. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to preserving Denver’s rich law enforcement history while gaining hands-on experience with Social Media management. If you’re interested in writing content or designing pages, we welcome your creativity!

The DPM Social Media Coordinator works as a member of the marketing committee. They work closely with other marketing committee members to develop social media campaigns that align with DPM’s event and activities strategy while applying SEO tactics to ensure maximum engagement and maintain social media profiles on behalf of DPM.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media: As new content is available create post ensure consistent with website, e-news and other communication vehicles
  • Social Media Ads: on occasion there might be a need to create a social media ad for an event
  • SEO Assistance: Implement simple SEO optimizations like adding meta tags, updating keywords, or ensuring proper formatting.
  • Basic Maintenance:  social media sites
  • Content Refresh: Update images, links, and other content to keep the social media fresh and engaging.

Skills & Qualifications:
Familiar with social media platforms and lead the team
