2026 National Police Week

National Police Week 2026 brought agencies and families together across the country to honor the officers and K‑9s who made the ultimate sacrifice. From the Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C., to local memorial services nationwide, communities gathered to remember those who served with courage and commitment. Additionally, for National Police Week this year, the Denver Police Museum produced a special video honoring the O’Hayre family and their remarkable multi‑generational service to the City of Denver.

DPD Anniversary Badge Honoring America’s 250th Anniversary and Colorado’s 150th Anniversary

We are happy to report that a special Denver Police Badge is available for retired and active Denver Police Officers who make a donation to the Denver Police Museum. Pictured below is a rendition of the special anniversary badge. Chief Thomas has approved the badge to be worn by active Denver Police Officers beginning in 2026!  Supply is limited.
